TORAH THOUGHTS
In this week’s Torah portion we learn of the house whose walls become afflicted with tzaaras similar to the skin after lashon hara.
The very bricks and mortar can be contaminated and made toxic by the behavior and speech of the residents. Seemingly, the physical reality of the world
created by G-d can also be spiritually imbued and cleansed by our behavior. Even though we treasure our house, we may also be inadvertently be staining the walls and its ambience.
Our home and possessions have the potential to generate a sharing and welcoming space that creates gain for all. Such a house may be immune and protected from tzaaras.
