On May 3 eleven Kohelet members sat down to a very special Friday night dinner in the Kohelet Library. The meal was festive and delicious, and the conversation was stimulating. We talked about the Parsha and the omer, but we also talked about ourselves, and our hopes and dreams. It was a warm, intimate experience, and at the end, we all felt we got to know each other a bit better. We do these Library Shabbat dinners every other month. If you would like to experience ending the week and welcoming Shabbat in this unique way, please consider joining us on July 5.

“A LIGHTHEARTED LAG BaOMER” CONCERT
Wed., May 22 7:30 p.m.
On Erev Lag B’Omer, Wednesday evening, May 22, six Denver Jewish women musicians will offer “A Lighthearted Lag BaOmer”, a concert with a cause. The free event, which will be for ladies and teen girls only, will take place at Congregation Kohelet, 428 South Forest at 7:30 p.m.
The program will launch the Lag B’Omer holiday with social gathering and singing. After a light dessert (kosher dietary laws strictly observed), event organizer Chaya Sarah Tene will present a multimedia presentation about Eitam Farm, a program for emotionally troubled youth in Israel for which the concert will be fundraising. An $18 or more tax-deductible donation to Eitam Farm is respectfully suggested.
The musical program, which will begin at sundown, will interweave comments on the mystical and historic significance of the Lag BaOmer holiday with musical performances and singing. The lineup of local performers includes Chaya Sarah Tene, Beckie (Rivka) Cohen, Yocheved Makowitz, Randy Weiss, and Vered and Arwin Barrack.
For further Information, call 720-309-8276. Reservations not required. Just come and enjoy!

SHABBAT TO HONOR OUR YOUTH
June 1
On Saturday, June 1, we will have a special Shabbat to honor our youth. We will feature extra good, kid-friendly food, and hopefully some of our Kohelet kids will participate in the service. Many of our kids are transitioning to a major milestone, and all of them are at least transitioning from one grade to the next, so let's honor them on this occasion.
